ScammerSlammer is a shared security bot. It detects scam links, fake support staff, and known scammer accounts, then bans them from every participating server. It is free and run by the Phish Takedown team.

What it catches
- Fake support accounts and impersonators, including cloned moderator profiles and "DM me for help" recovery scams.
- Malicious links: wallet drainers, phishing pages, fake airdrops, and the shortened URLs that hide them.
- Accounts already known to the network, even when they come back under a new name or avatar.
How it works
Every message is checked against our rules, link analysis, and Phish Takedown's live feeds. Usernames, display names, and profile pictures are compared with known impersonators, so accounts reusing an official project's avatar get caught too.
When a scammer is confirmed in one server, they go on a shared ban list. If they join or post in any other server running ScammerSlammer, they are removed automatically, so they cannot just move on to the next community. Every action is logged for your moderators to review, appeal, or add context to.
Your team still runs its own moderation. Trusted moderators can ban and unban locally, review logs, and submit new scammers to the shared database.
Who it's for
Servers where scammers actively target members: crypto, NFT, and Web3 projects dealing with fake support every day, communities hit by wallet drainers or airdrop scams, and mod teams who would rather share intelligence than fight the same scammers alone. It is not meant for general servers with little scam activity.
ScammerSlammer runs on the same data as Phish Takedown's takedown work, plus community reports and moderator submissions. Scammers your team reports through the bot feed back into that work. If you need programmatic access to the feeds, ask about the Phish Takedown API through our contact form.
Questions
- Why is it invite-only?
- A global ban affects every server in the network, not just yours. We vet servers and moderators before giving them that power.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. ScammerSlammer is a non-profit project, and we do not charge server owners.
- How is it different from Discord's AutoMod?
- AutoMod enforces general rules on a single server. ScammerSlammer shares ban lists, live phishing feeds, and detection tuned for crypto-support scams and impersonation across every participating server.
- What permissions does it need?
- Ordinary moderation permissions: reading messages, managing bans, and posting to your log channel. Ban commands only go to moderators you trust.
- I think I was banned by mistake.
